Google Plus Family Forest®

For a wealth of free history lessons for you or your children, here’s the simple search formula. Google “Family Forest” + __________  = engaging stories from A People-Centered Approach To History®.

Of course we believe that these stories are much more fun and enriching if you have full access to the Family Forest® National Treasure to follow the curiosity these stories are sure to generate, but these stories are great history starters on their own.

For instance, if you are looking for stories about a history event, like the 4th of July, try Googling “Family Forest” (in quotes) + signer. Or substitute in place of signer a word or phrase such as american revolution, or declaration, or independence, or tea party, or ticonderoga, or inventor.

Other history event suggestions are “Family Forest” (in quotes) + alamo, civil war, gettysburg, world war, world war II, pearl harbor, or flight.

As you can see in the previous examples, you can search for specific places. Woman-Centered Genealogy

Before Women’s History Month ends, please let me remind you that I believe the Family Forest® Project is the most woman-centered genealogy resource available, intentionally by design. 

There was a telling scene in the excellent Faces of America program where Meryl Streep tells Prof. Henry Louis Gates, Jr. that basically, she is not nearly as interested in the lives of her male ancestors as she is in the women who stood with them. 

Wow, that sums up the direction I have been steering the Family Forest® Project in for 15 years. Wouldn’t cousin Meryl be the perfect celebrity spokesperson we need? 

Countless choices appear before me each day as I perform my tour-guide service to of strategically growing the amazingly interconnected digital system of links we call the Family Forest®. I spend my days journeying through the nooks and crannies of thousands of years of human history and I leave a well-marked trail of everywhere I visit. The problem is that time does not allow me to enter nearly as much as I see. 

So when faced with decisions about the most important parts I should tell you about, I have almost always chosen to follow the lines of the mothers and daughters. This deliberate intention consistently applied over the last 15 years has grown the Family Forest® into the most woman-centered genealogy resource available.

Congratulations Alec Baldwin

Kristine and I were very pleased to see that Alec Baldwin was selected as a host at Turner Classic Movies earlier this month. We feel this way not only because of the excellent performance he will certainly deliver in that important role, but for Family Forest® reasons.

 

Alec and his famous brothers have been lineage-linked in the Family Forest® since before the New World Edition (we first mentioned his connection here and more recently here), but only skeletally and only as far back as the early seventeenth century. By strategically focusing on his ancestry since the TCM announcement, Alec’s ancestral history has now been connected into the central corridor of genealogy and he has become one of the most extensively networked people within the Family Forest®.

 

Everyone who watches TCM as regularly as we do knows that Robert Osborne is a very tough act to follow, even for someone with as much talent and abilities as Alec Baldwin. So we hope Alec will accept our offer to help him provide an additional new feature at TCM.

 

Alec can see more of his own ancestral pathways, according to recorded history,

mapped out in the Family Forest® than anywhere else, either online or offline. The same can be said for many of the Hollywood stars in TCM movies.

Big Picture Story from the Big Island

A new story just appeared, and we’re pleased that it doesn’t misleadingly try to squeeze our exciting leading-edge digital project into the genealogy pigeon-hole.

 

We do like stories that highlight some of the surprising family ties we’ve networked between famous people such as Brad Pitt and President Obama, and the Family Forest® does perform some amazing genealogy feats for everyday people that no other genealogy resource can, but the real picture of our digital project is so much bigger.

 

The Family Forest® Project is about so many more exciting possibilities than just plain vanilla genealogy, and the new story points to some of them.

All Paths Lead To Rome

Google recently announced an exciting new acquisition that is extremely interesting to us. It is a preview of their future offerings that will dovetail very nicely with one of the future capabilities of the multi-faceted Family Forest® Project. 

 

We envision people experiencing online virtual visits with their early ancestors in 3-D VR re-creations of their ancestral homes. As they have been many saying for many millennia, “All paths lead to Rome,” and the Family Forest® proves it. 

 

From studying the world’s largest maps of human genetic migration (which are generated by the Family Forest®), it appears certain that everyone alive in America today has Roman ancestors. 

 

Among many other best-of claims, the Family Forest® is the best digital central source for generation-by-generation ancestral pathways leading from today to Ancient Rome. 

 

When the Internet evolves enough to deliver the full functionality of the Family Forest® online, our proprietary network of strategic digital links will be performing the service of a high-speed transportation system (much like express elevators) connecting living people to many of their ancestors and their ancestral homes in centuries past. 

 

For an example, just look at the wide-ranging large list of some of the better-known people who are descendants of just one French castle. Senator Obama’s Famous and Infamous Relatives

As we have pointed out last week, the Family Forest® Project is completely non-partisan In that spirit, since we just offered free genealogy resources for the Republican ticket, here is a free genealogy resource for the Democratic ticket  family-forest-kinship-report-of-barack-obama4.

 

This report was generated from the Family Forest® New World Edition. It is called a kinship or relatives report. It shows who in the Family Forest® is related to Senator Obama, exactly how they are related, and who their common ancestor is.

 

In this case the report was scaled back to show only those relatives within a 12-generation radius from Barack Obama, and it shows only those relatives who were lineage-linked to him over three years ago in the New World Edition.

 

So it doesn’t include his wife Michelle and their daughters, Hollywood actor Robert Duvall, famous gunfighter Wild Bill Hickok , Vice President Dick Cheney, or most of the hundreds of thousands of people Senator Obama is now family-networked to in the upcoming Family Forest® National Treasure Edition.

 

But it does include three U.S. Presidents (on pages 8, 35, and 68), a famous Confederate general (on page 42), probably the most famous Wall Street financier of all times (on page 46), a famous woman artist (on page 48), and a Hollywood icon (on page 67), plus an infamous would-be presidential assassin (on page 32).

Sarah Palin is related to who?

While watching Sarah Palin and Alec Baldwin talking together Saturday night on SNL I couldn’t help wondering if they had any idea they are related to each other. Even though they are fairly distant cousins, because their first ancestral connection is back in the Royal Channel according to recorded history, they do actually share ancestors with each other.  

 

We ran some outline reports of immigrant ancestors from the Family Forest® to see who else shares ancestors with Gov. Sarah Palin. National Treasure

This is the most exciting time ever for us as we finalize the Family Forest® for the latest, and by far the greatest, release in the thirteen and half year history of the

Family Forest® Project.

 

This release will be called the Family Forest® National Treasure Edition for several reasons, beginning with what we were told early in the project by a great American who is a former Speaker of the U. S. House of Representatives.

 

After looking at our work he said to us “You do a great service to our country by encouraging people to find out about their roots and engaging them personally in its history.”

 

We took this as a compliment for the work we had already completed, confirmation that we were on the right track, inspiration for moving forward, and concrete guidance steering the continuing future growth of the Family Forest® Project.

 

It has been my personal goal for quite some time now that one or more U.S. Presidents will publicly call the Family Forest® Project a national treasure, and after 

a number of great releases along the way we feel certain that this release truly deserves the title of National Treasure.

 

The Family Forest® can now connect far more people personally, through generation-by-generation family ties, to more people, places, and events in human history (including Sarah Palin and the 2008 Presidential Election) than any other single digital resource.

 

It is a unique supplemental edutainment resource to enhance the study of almost every facet of American history by students of all ages, and it is partisan-neutral.

 

As it says on almost all of our releases over the last decade “While the Family Forest® ……. Edition is very much about genealogy, it is primarily about U.S. history, and more than 3,500 years of Old World history leading up to the birth of the United States.
